The Wine School

Normally yes on Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam diligently studied computer science and research about computer science. But in addition to professional training in IT Systems Engineering provides the Hasso-Plattner-Institut great emphasis on the non-technical skills of students, so the "soft skills". To this effect, every 2 weeks, a so-called soft skills colloquium held with practice-relevant topics. Last week we had the opportunity to visit one of these seminars. Bernhard Moser of the Wine School Berlin cheerfully chatted and relaxed from his incredibly rich experience.
We heard interesting things about the history of wine and have learned what the different labels on wine bottles.
Did you know for example that the Chateau Mouton Rothschild, for example, is made exclusively from grapes from vines at least 30 years old? The older a vine becomes all the more delicate its fruit.
Or that red wine its color from the coloring of the shell gets a red grape and darker, the longer is its fermentation? And that ice wine can be read at ° below -7 C and pressed do?
Very interesting, among other things, that one by a English 'Gran Reserva' from 2009 is more suited to the fingers. For Gran Reserva must be 24 months in oak barrels stored and then again 36 months in bottle before being allowed into the trade.
For very price conscious gabs at the end even a recipe for making a Prosecco in the "Aldi-variant": Take 1 box of Aldi cheapest wine, a Pile of sugar, all together cannot in a soda-Max and ready is the cheapest sparkling wine in the world :-).

Bernhard Moser is self-taught cook, learned to the job of the waiter and sold with little knowledge most wine, which his boss at the time he trained as a sommelier funded. Already with 28 years he headed the Munich HofbrÀuhaus. Today, the Austrian-born owner of his own wine school in Berlin in which he brings a lot of sense, humor and even more heart-depth knowledge to interested parties.
