Every spring we take a European city for the purpose of our discovery tours. Last year, Barcelona, Rome this year. Rome - the center of ancient world history, world cultural heritage, Italian capital and place of pilgrimage for thousands believers. It is breathtaking how many cultural treasures and stone witnesses to be found. We were traveling at least 8-10 hours a day to walk through this incredible city. We have seen a tremendous amount, but not nearly all that was actually on our agenda.
Rome Will you get to know better, you have to take your time. Unfortunately, many tourists rush blindly by St. Peter's Basilica, the Piazza Navona, English Steps, past the Trevi Fountain ... more quickly through the Colosseum and ready. These are just the streets, squares and the many small streets that link the sites together and give Rome its charm. And experienced addition to the aforementioned highlights you have so much else.

For our stay we had in the Internet Kolbe Hotel Rome selected. Once a Franciscan monastery, the building from the 16th Century now 72 rooms and suites that are modern without destroying the original character of the house by sterile hotel atmosphere. The small garden, where a small fountain gurgles is lovingly created and maintained extremely well. The restaurant with indoor and outdoor, as well as a pretty small bar invite the asphalt-weary guests to linger.
The menu is straightforward and offers Italian cuisine with fresh ingredients and an excellent wine selection. The expectations are not disappointed here. The breakfast, one takes in that same restaurant. You get a rich buffet of everything you eat like a tourist in a hotel of the 4 *- category, from toast and rolls, fruit, cereal and yogurt, juices, eggs of all forms (boiled, stirred, mirrored), sausage , cheese, honey, jam ... Tea and coffee are also on the buffet. The staff is friendly across the board and very helpful. In the lobby you can use for a fee that our own WiFi, which unfortunately in Italy is often very slow.
